New Teacher Spotlight

My name is Kyler Byrd. I am a new Special Education Teacher to Spanish Junior High this year! I will be teaching 8th Grade Math, 9th Grade English, and Study Skills. I previously lived in Spanish Fork for three years and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 2017. After High School I went to Southern Utah University and received my Bachelors in Geology and continued my education and received a Masters from the University of Southern Mississippi. I moved back to Utah in October and began substitute teaching in Tooele County School District. I am very excited to get back to Spanish Fork and begin my teaching career. I have been married for three years and have two rambunctious boys who definitely keep me busy. I love to attempt hiking, although I have fallen off more mountains than I have been able to climb. My wife and I love to collect rocks from all of our adventures. My personal favorite in my collection is Bismuth, because of the shape and color of its crystals.. I am an avid gamer and playing games is one my favorite activities to do with my family in my free time.
