Penny Wars is starting on Thursday the 4th and will go to Wednesday the 10th. This year we are doing things differently.
1. Students will complete by grade levels, eight graders vs. ninth graders. All money donations will be collected at the beginning of the day, during lunch, or at the end of the day by our leadership and source of strength students. There will be no penny bombing during classes. Students can still donate pennies and reduce the other grade levels total but again this should be done before and after school and during lunch.
2. In addition to student's donating their own change we will also have (mainly) lunch time activities where students can earn money that local businesses have donated for their grade. Each day there will be two activities one academic and one service in nature. Each student who completes the activity will earn a donation for their grade.
3.As students reach significant benchmarks in raising funds they will earn teachers performing various shenanigans around the school.
4. The grade with the highest donated/earned money will win a 15 minutes extra lunch period with games and activities to engage in during this time. More information will come on this when we get closer.
