Brad Fillmore: My name is Brad Fillmore. I am an English teacher at SHHS. Before coming to Salem Hills, I taught at Spanish Fork High School. My favorite food is Asian or Mexican! My favorite holiday is Halloween--I love the fall and its relatively stress free. My favorite music is anything by the great songwriters like Billy Joel, Paul Simon, & James Taylor to name a few. I've been married for 26 years. My wife also works for Nebo as an elementary dance specialist. I have 4 kids, 3 of whom have graduated from Salem Hills. My youngest is a sophomore. In addition to teaching English, I run a creative writing workshop twice a year at BYU with Kyle Minson called Young Author's Academy. I have published both short fiction and poetry and have a blog in which I discuss life, literature, and share my own creative writing. You can find it at mysongofmyself.blog.
Brad Shuler:

Beehive Meals Hero of the Week: Jaimi Sparks!
"Jaimi is the head drill team coach at Salem Hills High School. She volunteers COUNTLESS hours to the athletes and the school. Jaimi has grown the program and the team as a whole has improved under her direction. Simultaneously, she runs a dance studio in the community. "Heart N Soul" is a studio started by her mom, Diane Rosenbaum, and family run. She, her sister, niece, etc. teach dance to kids of all ages. This past month her mom died unexpectedly. She still made time, with her mom in the hospital, to come to the drill team competition and check on her athletes while going through one of the most difficult days of her life. "Dedication" doesn't begin to sum up her passion and work ethic for dance. Her entire family positively impacts our community with their love of the arts and expression. Jaimi improves the lives of the girls on her team and is one of the most driven and selfless coaches I've ever met. She endured the loss of her mom amidst the busiest competition month, yet the team still had her full attention because she truly cares about the girls."
